NVQ Assessor (REF ASSESS)
Job Purpose: To ensure that candidates on the NVQ programme are provided with the training and support required to enable them to achieve an NVQ qualification within a specified period of time.

Duties to include:

• Provide equality of opportunity for all candidates when conducting assessments.
• Explain the assessment process to the candidates.
• Prepare and review assessment plans with candidates.
• Ensure that the National Occupational Standards are met.
• Provide feedback to candidates.
• Ensure that all assessments are safe and fair.
• Ensure that ‘Skills for Life’ is embedded within the assessment process.

The following skills / qualifications are essential:

A1, PTTLS, Computer literate ~ Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel;  Good organisational skills;  Ability to work to tight deadlines;  Ability to work as part of a team as well as being able to use own initiative
